Emily Blades
Virtual Assistant
Since studying for my BA (Hons) in Combined Business at University of Plymouth, I have had a passion for business. It is my mission to use my knowledge, skills and experience to support small businesses to develop, thrive and grow, to meet the dreams of their founders and provide balanced lives for those who work within them.
I have achieved many things in my career, but those I am proudest of are:
- Being part of the management team that grew a small butchers, in one of the region’s leading catering butchers and fine food suppliers, and took it from approx. £1.5 to over £7 million turnover.
- Leading a project to launch and develop an awards programme, which became one of the industry’s most recognised accolades, attracting hundreds of entries every year.
These experiences, combined with my other roles, have taught me a great deal about business, people and myself.
I have a passion for creating systems, projects, opportunities and teams. Developing them into successful and maintainable business models.
I am ultra-organised, manage my time efficiently and communicate effectively.
I have empathy for others, patience and excellent listening skills which allow me to work in harmony with others, identify needs and find solutions. I excel when it comes to building relationships.
I care deeply about providing an exceptional level of customer service. It is the basis for how I have gained and sustained business over the years.
I’m driven by helping others to meet and exceed their goals.
Supported by my commitment to accuracy and my love to see things done properly I have achieved many successes in my career. However, I still have a lot to learn and I am always looking for the next challenge to help me grow.
‘Using Emily’s skill set on a project bases, I found her experience, professionalism and attention to detail to be invaluable in delivering the project on time and within budget.’
